With the increasingly fierce market competition, diversification, multi-product with small quantity and high-flexible mode of production is graduall供弗垛煌艹号讹铜番扩y becoming the main stream. This production mode makes the production become more complex. In order to keep the production well-aligned and high efficient, the production scheduling problem needs to be solved. Therefore, researching the production scheduling problem has significant theory meaning and realistic value. The particle swarm optimization (PSO), as a new type of Evolutionary algorithm, caused the attention and research from many scholars worldwide, because of its easy operation and realization. Today, the PSO has been used for solving many different problems. The production scheduling problem is also included. This paper, by using the PSO, solved the scheduling problem of assembly workshop with the target of minimizing the total production time. In this research, we made different setting to the important parameters in the PSO, so that we can get different experimental results. Then through the analysis of these experimental results, the affect from these parameters to the performance of the PSO will be researched.
